Your consent choice

On a first visit, the site shows a Cookie Settings notice with two equally presented choices: “Essential Only” and “Accept Analytics”. No option is preselected, and continued browsing, scrolling or closing pages is not treated as consent.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is not loaded before you select “Accept Analytics”. Until then, the Google tag script is not requested, no GA4 data is sent (including cookieless measurement pings), and no GA4 cookies are set. If you choose “Essential Only”, GA4 stays off.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using “Cookie Settings” in the website footer (). Withdrawing consent stops further GA4 measurement on this site and removes GA4 cookies and stored visit-source attribution that the site can access from your browser. Information already sent to Google before withdrawal is handled under Google’s and the GA4 property’s settings.

Essential storage (always active)

These items are needed to provide functions you request and are not used for analytics:

  • au_cookie_consent in local storage, recording your choice (“accepted” or “essential”), the date and time it was made, and the consent-policy version. If the policy version changes, you are asked again.
  • Authentication-session information when you sign in to saved properties and searches, managed by the site’s authentication provider.
  • A short-lived pending favorite instruction when a signed-out visitor asks to save a property before signing in.
  • Recently viewed and favorite property references used by the saved-properties features.

Property search, listing pages, saved searches and alerts, sign-in and enquiry forms work the same whether or not you accept analytics.

Analytics and attribution (only with consent)

If you select “Accept Analytics”:

  • GA4 sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_Y2JGSFXMY8 to distinguish visits and measure page views and site interactions. In Chromium testing these were observed with a 400-day lifetime, reflecting the browser’s cap; actual duration depends on browser controls and may be refreshed on later visits.
  • attr_first (local storage) and attr (session storage) record the first and most recent landing page, referring site and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags). If you then submit an enquiry, this visit-source information is included with it.

With “Essential Only”, this attribution is not stored, and enquiries are delivered without visit-source information. Answering your enquiry does not depend on it.

Cookie expiration is separate from GA4 event-data retention on Google’s systems, which is configured at the GA4 property level. That setting has not been independently verified for this page, so no fixed retention period is stated here.

Browser controls

Most browsers also let you inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking essential storage may affect sign-in, favorites or saved searches. Clearing site storage also clears your consent choice, so the Cookie Settings notice will appear again.
